Adorned Earth is a collection of one-of-a-kind ceramic wall relief sculptures reflecting on the awe-inspiring and everyday nature of flora. The work holds a presence that lies between reverence and familiarity. The form is reminiscent of an oval reliquary, traditionally meant to be hung, regarded, and preserved. Yet acknowledging the sacred in what is most essential, grounded in modest, familiar imagery of flowers, embracing our dual perception of the natural world itself: precious and imprecious, held and released, growing and fading. In the midst of this continuum, our attention to it defines our position.
